Make Survivor Picks
Choose one eligible NFL team per week, avoid reusing teams, and understand elimination.
In a Survivor Pool, choose one NFL team for each included Pool Week. A win keeps you Alive. A loss, tie, or missing required pick eliminates you.
Make or change a pick
- Open the Survivor Pool and choose Board.
- Select the Pool Week you want.
- Find the NFL game containing your team.
- Choose the team abbreviation.
- Wait for Saved.
Choose a different eligible team before the Pick Lock to replace the saved pick. The newly accepted team becomes your pick for that week.
Every scheduled team in the Pool Week is eligible, including a team playing before Sunday. The selected team’s own game controls its lock under Game Kickoff mode.
One-use rule
You cannot hold valid Survivor Picks for the same NFL team in more than one Pool Week. The Board checks both settled used-team history and picks reserved for other weeks.
If a team is already used or reserved, Only Pools explains which week contains it and asks you to choose a different team. Changing an unlocked pick releases its prior team unless that team was already consumed by a settled outcome.
Provisional picks
Survivor can allow picks for a later week while an earlier result is still Pending. The later selection is a Provisional Survivor Pick:
- it reserves its selected team;
- it locks under the later week’s own rules; and
- it takes effect only if you advance through every earlier week.
If an earlier result eliminates you, the provisional pick becomes invalid without consuming its team. If a corrected result later restores your eligibility, Only Pools restores a valid provisional pick that was accepted before its own lock.
Pick Locks
Under Game Kickoff, your Survivor Pick locks at the earlier of the selected game’s scheduled kickoff or an authoritative started-game signal.
Under Weekly Cutoff, early selections lock as their games start, then every remaining Survivor choice locks Sunday at 1:00 p.m. Eastern.
After a Pick Lock, the team button is disabled. A reschedule never reopens a lock that was already reached.
Elimination and advancement
- A win advances you and adds the selected team to used-team history.
- A loss or tie eliminates you.
- Failing to make a required pick before its lock eliminates you.
- If a locked pick’s game is canceled, you receive a No-Contest Advance and remain Alive; the team stays in used-team history.
- If cancellation is known before the lock, the pick is invalidated and the team is released so you can replace it.
Only a Verified Result changes official eligibility. A projected result may preview what is likely to happen but remains non-official.
How a Survivor Pool ends
The Pool completes when one Alive Participant remains after a settled week. If a settled week eliminates everyone who entered it Alive, that whole entering-week group becomes joint Survivor Winners. If more than one Participant remains Alive after the final included week, they become joint winners.
