Manage Members, Roles, and Ownership

Open a Pool’s Pool section to see its Members, roles, and membership status. Available actions depend on your own role and whether the Pool is Archived.

Pool roles

Pool Owner is the single Participant with ultimate administrative authority. The Owner can manage invitations, roles, ownership, archival, restoration, and Members.

Pool Admin is delegated by the Owner. An Admin can manage ordinary Pool Invites and remove Pool Members. An Admin cannot change administrative roles, act on the Owner or another Admin, transfer ownership, archive, or restore the Pool.

Pool Member belongs to and competes in the Pool without administrative authority.

Owners and Admins compete under the same Pool Ruleset and Pick Locks as every other Participant. Administrative roles do not reveal Hidden Picks.

Promote or demote an Admin

Only the Pool Owner can change an administrative role.

• Choose Promote Admin next to an active Pool Member to grant Admin authority.
• Choose Demote next to a Pool Admin to return that person to Pool Member.

Complete Step-up Verification when requested. The role change appears in the Pool Audit.

Remove or reinstate a Participant

An Owner or Admin can choose Remove next to a Pool Member and provide a short reason. Only the Owner can remove a Pool Admin. Removal ends Pool access and future picking but preserves accepted picks, results, status, and standings as competitive history.

The Pool Owner can choose Reinstate as Member for a removed Participant and provide a reason. Reinstatement restores normal access, but it does not restore expired opportunities or a former administrative role.

Transfer ownership

Ownership can be offered only to a current Pool Admin.

1. The Owner chooses Offer ownership next to an Admin and completes Step-up Verification.
2. The offer appears as Ownership transfer pending.
3. The receiving Admin chooses Accept ownership.

Until acceptance, the current Owner remains in control and may Cancel offer. When accepted, the receiving Admin becomes Pool Owner and the former Owner becomes a Pool Admin.

Leave a Pool

A Participant who is not the Owner can choose Leave Pool while departure is still allowed. Leaving revokes access and administrative visibility of that person’s contact details. Their accepted competitive history remains visible inside the Pool.

A former Participant may return through a valid ordinary Pool Invite if admission is still open. A removed Participant cannot self-return; the Pool Owner must reinstate them.

The sole Pool Owner cannot leave without first transferring ownership.

Contact details and privacy

The Pool Owner and Pool Admins can see verified email addresses and phone numbers for current Participants. Ordinary Pool Members cannot. Losing membership removes that administrative visibility immediately. Read Accounts, Eligibility, Verification, and Privacy for the full explanation.

Archived Pools

Archived Pools are read-only. Ownership transfer remains available, but other role and membership changes require the Owner to restore the Pool first.
